Pickler grew up in a difficult environment. For the sake of leaving an abusive partner, Pickler's mother left her when she was just 2 years older. The mother of Pickler returned back to her home and was given full control of her. But things did not turn around as planned. Pickler was reunited with her grandparents at 12 years old. They helped them through adulthood. Pickler, in the absence her parents and older siblings, became busy to be a mother. She admitted she was no longer able to read and began learning how to make a living as a homemaker in her early years. Pickler played cheerleading in the middle and high school she attended. North Stanly High School was where Pickler graduated from in the year 2004. Pickler is also a seasoned beauty queen. Her name was even a reference to Miss Stanly County.
